<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a drawing line from becoming blurred even when writing fast by securing the air circulation with the external world by a refill holding member mounted in a shaft tube, in the writing utensil not holding the refill by the shaft tube itself. <P>SOLUTION: In the writing utensil 10 in which the refill 60 is accommodated in the shaft tube 15, and a leading shaft 40 made of the synthetic resin is fitted to the tip of the shaft tube 15, thick walled parts 42 are provided radially distributed equally to a plurality of locations on an inner circumferential surface of the leading shaft 40.
