PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drill unit for taking an optical detection signal from an object to be cut to transmit it to an analyzer for the detection of positions in which inner vessels, etc. within bones, e.g. jaw bones are present when perforating the bones, etc.; a drill used in the drill unit; and medical processing equipment.

SOLUTION: The drill unit includes: a unit body 1 having a driving part 3; a first light transmitter 5 held by the unit body and transmitting the light of an optical analyzer to the driving part; a drill having a drill body 2 equipped with a shank and a blade part having a blade continuously formed from the shaft and removably attached to the driving part; a second light transmitter 6 incorporated within the drill body and being able to derive light between the points each near the base end and the leading end; and a light combining means 7 present between the first and second light transmitters.
