PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonaqueous electrolyte battery which excels in productivity.

SOLUTION: A nonaqueous electrolyte battery 100 comprises: a flat wound type wound group 102 which includes a cathode tab group 405 and an anode tab group 406 at different ends thereof in a wound shaft core L1 direction; a cathode collector plate 104 and an anode collector plate 105 electrically connected to the wound group 102 via the cathode tab group 405 and the anode tab group 406; and a battery can 101 which has the wound group 102, the cathode collector plate 104 and the anode collector plate 105 built therein. The cathode tab group 405 and the anode tab group 406 are placed on the same side of the wound group 102 in a direction toward flat surfaces opposed to the respective joined parts of the cathode collector plate 104 and the anode collector plate 105, and joined in that posture to the respective joined parts of the cathode collector plate 104 and the anode collector plate 105.
