<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing an optical laminate that is thin and has a polarizing film with excellent appearance uniformity. <P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing an optical laminate having a film substrate and a polarizing film includes the following steps: a step A of laminating a removable film 13 on one major surface of a film substrate 11 to obtain a laminate film substrate 14; a step B of subjecting the other major surface of the film substrate 11 of the laminate film substrate 14 to a rubbing process; a step C of applying a solution containing a lyotropic liquid crystal compound and a solvent on the rubbed surface of the film substrate 11; and a step D of peeling the removable film 13 from the laminate film substrate 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
