<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a novel cyclic polyphenylene ether etherketone composition which overcomes problems of the prior arts suffering from a high melting point and poor workability; and a process for producing a novel polyphenylene ether etherketone composition. <P>SOLUTION: The process for producing the cyclic polyphenylene ether etherketone composition includes: reacting a mixture (A) including at least (a) a dihalogenated aromatic ketone compound, (b) a dihydroxy aromatic compound, (c) a base, and (d) an organic polar solvent, whereby a cyclic polyphenylene ether etherketone composition containing different repeat number of cyclic polyphenylene ether etherketones and having a melting point of 270°C or lower is produced. The component (a) is used in an amount ranging from 1.00 to 1.10 moles relative to 1.0 mole of the component (b) in the mixture (A). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
