PURPOSE: A socket type power monitoring device is provided to monitor power by actively copying with environmental change. CONSTITUTION: A socket type power monitoring device comprises a power monitoring part(100) and a monitoring management part(130). The power monitoring part is comprised of a monitoring function part(110) and a monitoring middleware part(120). The monitoring management part effectively drives the power monitoring part. The monitoring function part comprises a user interface part(111), a power measuring part(114), a power blocking part(113), an external display part(112), and a radio communication part(115). The user interface part makes a user to directly input a set value. The power measuring part checks electric energy used in all kinds of devices. The power blocking part selectively blocks or connects power supply. The external display part indicates the set value or the electric energy to outside. The radio communication part transmits and receives all kind of information with a node.
