<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in which: when a stirring member that stirs developer in a developer storage part rotates in high speed, toner scatters inside a toner container, which decreases accuracy of light-transmission-type detection of the amount of remaining toner. <P>SOLUTION: A developing device includes: a developer storage part that stores developer; a stirring member that stirs developer in the developer storage part; and a flexible member that is disposed so as to separate a first space adjacent to the developer storage part and the developer storage part, and, when applied with pressure by the stirring member, bends so as to block at least a part of a light path for detecting the amount of developer that is formed in the first space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
