<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which stably produces a porous body of metal oxide which has a uniform pore size, large specific surface area and pore volume, in particular, a porous body of metal oxide which has crystallinity, the method freely controlling the pore size. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing a porous body of metal oxide includes a process (a) in which organic polymer particles, metal oxide nano-particles, which are smaller in average particle size than the organic polymer particles, and an aqueous medium are mixed together to prepare a liquid mixture; a process (b) in which the liquid mixture is dried to gain an organic-inorganic composite; and a process (c) in which the organic polymer particles are removed from the organic-inorganic composite to gain the porous body of the metal oxide whose pore size is larger than the size of the crystallite of the metal oxide on the pore wall and which has a particular specific surface area and pore volume. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
