The purpose of and problem addressed by the present invention is the provision of a tin(II) oxide powder that is extremely soluble in an acid or an acidic plating solution and exhibits excellent storage stability in air. This tin(II) oxide powder is for replenishing the tin component of a tin-alloy plating solution, contains 100 to 5,000 ppm of an antioxidant by mass, and exhibits the following rate of solution: when 0.1 g of said powder is added to 100 ml of a 100 g/L aqueous solution of alkyl sulfonic acid at 25°C and mixed, the tin(II) oxide powder dissolves within 180 seconds.
