<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steel material for a retaining wall serving also as a foundation pile, which is easy to manufacture and improves bearing power. <P>SOLUTION: Between two long-length rectangular steel plates 2, a steel pipe 3 is supported through a spacer 4. The spacer 4 is over the almost entire length in the longitudinal direction along the center of the steel plate 2, one side part thereof is welded to the steel pipe 3, and the other side part is welded to the steel plate 2. Since the spacer 4 is interposed between the steel plate 2 and the steel pipe 3, an insertion space for a welding tool is secured. A cross sectional area of the spacer 4 is added to a cross sectional area of the steel plate 2 and the steel pipe 3, and bearing power as foundation steel is increased. At an inner side opposite part of an opposite side of the steel plate 2, a projected line 4 is provided in the longitudinal direction. On an end of the opposite side, a connection piece 5 having a line groove 6 in the longitudinal direction, that can be fitted to the projected line 4 of another steel material 1, is provided. The projected line 4 and the line groove 6 of the steel materials adjacent to each other are fitted, and the plurality of steel materials are installed side by side without a gap to form the retaining wall serving also as the foundation pile. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
