<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coating agent for paddy seeds, for securing normal budding and establishment of seedling of paddy seeds, which suppresses the progression in the reduction of soil, suppresses production of sulfides caused by the action of sulfate-reducing bacteria, converts sulfides into iron sulfide so as to be made harmless, further can suppress the excessive increase of pH as far as possible even when being dissolved into water, and with which coating can be performed without using a large quantity of the coating agents. <P>SOLUTION: The coating agent for paddy seeds is essentially composed of magnesium oxide or magnesium hydroxide. The paddy seeds are obtained by being coated therewith. The amount of the coating agent for the paddy seeds to be coated is 0.05 to 2 kg to 1 kg of the seeds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
