<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shelter for evacuation which enables even the socially disadvantaged people, who can not evacuate from home, to survive a tsunami. <P>SOLUTION: This shelter used for temporary evacuation from a tsunami includes a structure 10, which consists of metal having such large space that a person can get in, an opening 11, which is about the size that the person can pass, provided above the structure, a hatch, which can seal the opening from inside, and a fixing device for fixing the person who have evacuated inside the structure. Then, the structure is so formed as to fulfill the requirements that the weight, where the average weights for the fixed number of people in the shelter are added up to the total weight of the shelter, is lighter than the weight of seawater for the volume of the space that the shelter creates. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
