<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine presence/absence and a degree of an image deterioration factor in projection data collected by PET imaging in short time. <P>SOLUTION: A medical image diagnostic device 100 in this embodiment includes: a simple PET image data generation part 41; a PET image data generation part 43; and a display part 6. The simple PET image data generation part 41 generates simple PET image data on the basis of information obtained by projecting a position of a generation source of γ rays to be irradiated from an analyte to which a radioactive isotope is administered in a predetermined direction to a predetermined projection surface. The PET image data generation part 43 generates PET image data by using the projection data of a PET imaging mode generated based on a detection result by detecting the γ rays to be irradiated from the analyte on the basis of an evaluation result of the simple PET image data.
