PURPOSE: A washing machine and a method for controlling the same are provided to repeatedly perform a balancing process by monitoring unbalance state of a rotating tub in real time. CONSTITUTION: A balancing module(113) is moved to a channel(111) of a balancer housing(112). A vibration sensor senses unbalance state of a rotating tub(30). A position detecting sensor senses the position of the balancing module. A control unit moves the balancing module to the position of adjusting the balance. |
