The clamping unit (1) has cage (2) with side wall (2a) connected with end wall (2b). A cage busbar (4) is provided with contact section (4a) and base portion (4b). A clamping bar (5) has terminal edge (5a), which stands opposite to the contact section, so that force is made to act on clamping bar spring elements (7). The spring elements are arranged within the interior space (3) of cage. An independent claim is included for terminal device.
