<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear device capable of being changed to a plurality of acceleration and deceleration speeds with a reduced number of parts, and a rotary actuator having the same. <P>SOLUTION: The gear device 41 includes a drive gear 33 and a driven gear 34. The drive gear 33 includes first and second drive toothed portions 331 and 332 which are coaxial with each other and have different pitch circle radiuses. The driven gear 34 includes a second driven toothed portion 342 which is meshed with the first drive toothed portion 331. The first drive toothed portion 331 and the second drive toothed portion 332 are displaced from each other in a circumferential direction of the drive gear 33. Therefore, the gear device 41 in which a distance between a drive axle of the drive gear 33 and a driven axle of the driven gear 34 is fixed can be changed to the plurality of acceleration and deceleration ratios without replacing the drive gear 33 and the driven gear 34, or replacing only one of the gears. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
