<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of re-transmission in retransmission during MIMO transmission. <P>SOLUTION: A radio communication system supporting a MIMO space multiplexing technology comprises a base station eNB forming spatially divided streams S1 and S2 between a radio terminal UE and the base station eNB. The base station eNB transmits data signals #1 and #2 by MIMO transmission which transmits different data signals for each of the streams S1 and S2. When retransmission of the single data signal #1 out of the data signals #1 and #2 transmitted by the MIMO transmission is requested by the radio terminal UE, the base station eNB switches to transmission diversity in which the same data signals are transmitted in each of the streams S1 and S2, and retransmits the data signal #1 having been requested to retransmit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
