A light-tight cassette for a roll of light-sensitive photographic material, comprising a shell (11) of generally rectilinear sectional profile with a light-tight dispensing slot (15), has a stiffening member (33) inserted between a lip (21) of the dispensing slot and the adjacent shell wall (19), for increasing the bending resistance of said lip.
