<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a glass melting furnace capable of effectively controlling the outflow of molten glass and a method for discharging molten glass. <P>SOLUTION: The glass melting furnace comprises: a furnace body which houses molten glass; an agitating blade which agitates the molten glass in the furnace body; a rotating shaft which is connected to the agitating blade at one end; a drive unit which is connected to the other end of the rotating shaft and rotatively drives the agitating blade; and an outflow nozzle which is connected to the furnace body at one end and discharges molten glass in the furnace body, wherein the drive unit changes the rotation direction and rotation speed of the agitating blade according to the liquid surface height of the molten glass in the furnace body. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
