<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable terminal and a control method thereof capable of preventing degradation of a throughput as much as possible even in the case where an incoming signal is received during data communication. <P>SOLUTION: A disabling part 31 determines whether or not a communication part 40 has received an incoming signal in the case where a data communication is performed with a plurality of allocated slots. The disabling part 31, if the communication part 40 receives an incoming signal, disables a plurality of slots allocated for data communication except a single slot.
