PRINT PROCESS PERFORMING DUPLEX PRINTING USING ALTERNATE IMAGING ORDER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method which performs duplex printing having improved throughput.

SOLUTION: A duplex printing system includes forming an image of a back side of a first duplex print page and an image of a front side of a second duplex print page on an image receiving member. Two recording medium sheets are serially passed through a nip to transfer the image of the first duplex print page back side to a blank page side of a recording medium sheet which also bears the image of the front side of the first duplex print page on an obverse side and to transfer the image of the second duplex print page to a blank page side of a recording media sheet which has not been printed previously.
