The sensor element (10) comprises two helical strips (13,14) having opposing winding directions, which are connected to respective wall generators (15,16). The wall generators are arranged adjacent to each other. A common wall generator is arranged in the sensor element. The two helical strips include two diamond-shaped structures (11,12) which are arranged along the adjacent longitudinal side. The two wall generators and the common wall generator are connected to the outer end of the helical strips.
