<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify processing for extracting facilities existing around a recommended route from a departure point to a destination, in a navigation device. <P>SOLUTION: A navigation device extracts boundary nodes included in a recommended route from a departure point S to a destination G. The device selects a mesh including a location of the departure point S, a mesh including a location of the destination G, and meshes including the extracted boundary nodes. In a map, meshes filled with half-tone dots are selected. The device picks out facilities around the recommended route by extracting facilities including mesh codes of the selected meshes as attribute information. Thus, it is not necessary to perform inside/outside determination processing in a conventional device that acquires location information (latitude and longitude) of each facility to determine whether each facility exists in a rectangle range, and in a new navigation device, a processing load for extracting facilities around the recommended route is substantially reduced. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
