<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the occurrence of troubles such as breakage in thin sheet glass to be molded with branched flow molten glass separated from main flow molten glass when the thin sheet glass is molded by an overflow down draw method. <P>SOLUTION: The thin sheet glass manufacturing apparatus includes a molding body 2 which molds the thin sheet glass by fusing/unifying molten glass G in a lower end part 5c, overflowed from an overflow groove 4 onto both sides, while being made to flow down along an approximately wedge-shaped outside surface part 5, and a pair of covering members 3 which are out-fitted to each of both end parts in the width direction of the molding body 2 and form a regulation wall part 3b which regulates the extent in the width direction of the molten glass G flowing down along the outside surface part 5 of the molding body 2. In each regulation wall part 3b of the pair of the covering members 3, an extension part 6 extending to the middle part side in the with direction while covering from below a lower part region including the lower end part 5c of the molding body 2 is provided.
