The collimator has a movable slat that is provided with measuring device (15) for determining the position of the slat. The measuring device is provided with main and auxiliary measuring elements (1,2). The main measuring element is attached to the slat, and auxiliary measuring element is positioned apart from main measuring element and is moved along measurement path (4). The position of main measuring element along measurement path in electromagnetic field generated by auxiliary measuring element is determined. An independent claim is included for methods for determining position of slat of slat collimator in adjustable direction.
