<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a detecting apparatus that basically detects ions under atmospheric pressure. <P>SOLUTION: An ion detecting apparatus comprises: a housing placed in an environment of atmospheric pressure and having an inlet through which external air is introduced into the housing; a detecting electrode that detects a deflected part of charged particles contained in the external air introduced into the housing; and a voltage applying electrode. The detecting electrode and the voltage applying electrode are disposed side by side in the gravity direction and provided with an electrode holder for holding both electrodes, and the electrode holder is formed of a material whose coefficient of water absorption is not more than 0.4. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
