PURPOSE: A composition and a functional food containing Inulae Flos ethanol extract are provided to effectively prevent and treat pancreatic cancer and to suppress pancreatic cancer cell growth. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating pancreatic cancer contains Inulae Flos ethanol extract as an active ingredient, extracted at 50 Deg. C. for 24 hours. The ethanol is 95% ethanol. The composition also contains pharmaceutically acceptable carriers or diluents. The pancreatic cancer is pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma.
