PURPOSE: A pharmaceutical composition containing red ginseng extract for preventing or treating auditory neuropathy is provided to suppress or recover auditory nerve injury. CONSTITUTION: A pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating auditory neuropathy contains red ginseng extract. The auditory neuropathy is caused by diabetes. The red ginseng extract is prepared using water, alcohol of C1-C4, or a mixture thereof. A food composition for preventing or treating auditory neuropathy caused by diabetes contains the red ginseng extract. The daily dose of the red ginseng extract is 0.0001-100 mg/kg. |
