<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure stable machining quality by improving propagation efficiency of laser light. <P>SOLUTION: A laser machining apparatus includes a nozzle 3 for jetting a jet liquid on a workpiece W and a liquid feed means 6 for feeding the jet liquid to the nozzle 3, and uses laser light L introduced into a jet liquid column F jetted from the nozzle 3, and has a laminar forming flow passage 8 for feeding the jet liquid to the nozzle 3 in a laminar state. The laminar forming flow passage 8 includes: a distribution flow passage 81 for forming a cavity for distributing the jet liquid fed from the liquid feed means 6 around the axial line G of the nozzle in the form of a ring ; a communicating flow passage 82 provided to communicate with the distribution flow passage 81 in the downstream side of an axial line G direction of the nozzle and forming a ring-like cavity around the axial line G in a narrower flow passage than the distribution flow passage 81; and a liquid storage chamber 83 adjacently provided in the upstream side of the axial line G direction of the nozzle and storing the jet liquid to be fed to the nozzle 3. The outer peripheral edge part of the liquid storage chamber 83 communicates with the communicating flow passage 82 over the entire circumference of a ring shape. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
