<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure and a construction method for preventing a so-called "overhanging part" such as a porch, terrace, or berm provided outside a building from being damaged by a frost heaving phenomenon occurring due to the ground in a cold district freezing in winter. <P>SOLUTION: In constructing an overhanging part 2 executed on the ground outside a building, the ground 3 just under the over hanging part 2 is excavated into a depth and a planar shape corresponding to the overhanging part 2, while an excavated bottom face corresponding to the underside of the overhanging part 2 is formed to be an inclined plane which is upward inclined from a building 1 side to the front end of the overhanging part 2 by an angle of θ. A sliding material 6 is laid on the inclined plane, and moreover reinforcing bars of the overhanging part 2 are arranged on the sliding material 6.
