<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compensation method for an operating point drift, which can perform feedback control more stably. <P>SOLUTION: An optical modulation system 1 has a compensation function for compensating an operation point drift of a Mach-Zehnder (MZ) optical modulator 12 by feedback control which uses a low frequency signal #2, and includes a determining section 18 for determining stability of the feedback control, and a low frequency signal generating section 14 for switching a frequency of the low frequency signal #2 from a first frequency to a second frequency when it is determined that the feedback control is unstable. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
