<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the number of signal lines used for transmitting video data even when non-compressed digital video data of a plurality of channels of not only the same video clock but different video clocks are transmitted. <P>SOLUTION: A clock transfer device A104 generates a video signal YC'a obtained by synchronizing a multiplex signal A obtained by multiplexing a signal synchronized with a video clock signal A of a video signal A, a horizontal synchronous signal A and a vertical synchronous signal A with a transmission clock of a clock frequency which is at least twice as much as the video clock signal A. A clock transfer device B114 generates a video signal YC'b obtained by synchronizing a multiplex signal B obtained by multiplexing a signal synchronized with a video clock signal B of a video signal B, a horizontal synchronous signal B and a vertical synchronous signal B with the transmission clock.
