<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer flocculant having little environmental load, being excellent in safety, having large cationic property, and exhibiting excellent flocculating capability (a flocculating powder diameter, a flocculating strength, a filtrate quantity, and a cake water content) in treating sludge (organic sludge such as sewer sludge or others) or waste water. <P>SOLUTION: The polymer flocculant contains crosslinkable polypeptide having an amino acid having a guanidyl group as at least a part of constituting unit. A method for treating the sludge or the waste water is characterized in that the polymer flocculant is added and mixed into the sludge or the waste water, and thereby flocculation is formed and solid/liquid separation is carried out. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
