INFORMATION PROCESSING DEVICE AND METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase information volume of a display unit without impairing visibility.

SOLUTION: An information processing device 1 includes: a display unit 5 for displaying characters; a storing unit 3 for storing minimum character size information showing a minimum value of a character size of the characters displayed on the display unit 5 and a significant word dictionary 4 listing words displayed larger than a character size showing the minimum value as significant words; an operation unit 8 for giving an instruction for changing the character size displayed on the display unit 5; and a control unit 2 for controlling the display unit 5 to display a word matching with the significant words in the minimum character size and controlling the display unit 5 to display a word other than the significant words in the character size instructed by the operation unit 8 when the character size instructed by the operation unit 8 is smaller than the character size shown by the minimum character size information.
