摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vessel steering device that prevents cavitation at a low cost without drastically modifying configuration of an existing hydraulic drive device. <P>SOLUTION: A rudder stock rotation detecting unit 50A calculates a steering angle displacement speed from a steering angle detection value, and determines a deviation between the steering angle command value and a steering angle detection value. A determination unit determines whether the deviation has reached a significant difference of the steering angle command value, and whether the steering angle displacement speed has reached a significant difference of the maximum steering angle displacement speed. If the above two conditions are satisfied, a rudder stock 14 is determined to be in a stop state. If not, the rudder stock 14 is determined to have started rotation. In a step lamp converter 34, discharge flow rate of a main pump 46 is set to the minimum discharge flow rate smaller than the hydraulic oil to be supplied from an auxiliary pump to the main pump or the minimum discharge flow rate that causes no cavitation when the rudder stock stop state is determined, or set so that the discharge flow rate of the main pump 46 is increased up to the maximum rated flow rate when the rudder stock rotation start is determined. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
