The device (18) has a rotary element (20) rotatable around a rotational axis (36) relative to a base element (32). The rotary element is fixed in respective rotational positions relative to the base element by a fixation element (40). Through-holes (14) of a rotor element are formed in coverage with a recess in the base element. The through-holes are formed in a coverage with passage openings of the rotary element such that an assigned permanent magnet is movable from the respective through-hole into the recess via corresponding passage opening. An independent claim is also included for a method for disassembling permanent magnets taken up from respective through-holes of a rotor element of an electric machine.
