The present invention relates to a connector system comprising a plug connector (100) and a retainer (200) adapted to be inserted into a corresponding holder (300). The plug connector (100) comprises a connector housing (101) and at least one latching arm (102) assigned to the connector housing (101), whereby the plug connector (100) is adapted to be mountable with the retainer (200). The connector system comprises at least one deflection portion (202) for causing a deflection of the latching arm (102) upon mounting of the plug connector (100) with the retainer (200), whereby the deflection portion (202) is shaped such that the deflection provides increasing resistance against further movement of the plug connector (100). The connector system further comprises at least one release portion (204) adapted to enable a release deflection of the latching arm (102), whereby the release portion (204) being shaped such that the release deflection does not provide resistance against further movement of the plug connector. Still further, the connector system comprises at least one latching portion (206) adapted to allow latching of the latching arm (102) for locking of the plug connector (100). |
