The method involves receiving a service access request message from a user equipment (2), where the message contains an identifier of a user of the equipment. A connection request is received from a card reader (1) so as to determine that the reader is associated with the equipment. A connection between one of access server (3) or service servers (4) and the card reader is established using the connection request. A connection between the servers is established for allowing the equipment to access a service hosted in the service server. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for implementing a method for processing confidential data (2) an access server (3) a network architecture.
