<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing an acrylic yarn as a carbon fiber precursor, during the production, preventing the interference and the filament cross between the yarns adjacent to each other, excellent in processability, and providing a carbon fiber having large total fineness, high quality and low cost. <P>SOLUTION: The apparatus has a yarn width-restricting part (FWR) which restricts a width of a swollen yarn of an acrylic fiber. The yarn width-restricting part (FWR) has a first yarn width-regulating part (WR1) and a second yarn width-regulating part (WR2). The first yarn width-regulating part (WR1) regulates a width of a yarn (T) running on a floor surface, and applies a liquid to the yarn (T). The second yarn width-regulating part (WR2) regulates the width of the yarn (T) having the liquid applied thereto so as to gradually decrease along a running direction of the yarn. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
