<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that an external device side conventionally determines whether information is normally written and that writing cannot be correctly determined unless a large-scale circuit is configured in a semiconductor device. <P>SOLUTION: Nonvolatile storage means incorporated by pulse length in a write pulse inputted from an external device is provided with determination means for determining whether information is correctly written. The determination means determines whether the pulse length of a write pulse is within a predetermined range, and whether the pulse length is correct by using clocking means for clocking time at the same time with the arrival of the write pulse, or the like.
