<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an EGR device including a contamination collection device capable of efficiently collecting contamination in exhaust gas and preventing decrease in collection properties due to deposition of soot or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A curved part 1a is provided at a part of piping 1 of this EGR device. A contamination collection device 3 is provided at the curved part 1a. The contamination collection device includes: a branch passage 5 formed at an outer side of the curved part 1a by a flow separation wall 4 arranged so as to have an opening for taking some of the flow of the exhaust gas in the curved part 1a; a bag-like accumulation part 6 formed at a terminal part of the branch passage 5 to collect and accumulate the contamination in the exhaust gas; and a return opening 7 formed in the vicinity of the downstream end of the flow separation wall 4 and causing the flow of the exhaust gas to merge into an EGR passage 2 from the middle of the branch passage 5.
