<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electromagnetic vibration suppression device capable of appropriately suppressing the vibration of a steel sheet traveling in a meandering manner in the width direction in a state of being curved in its thickness direction and without requiring an exclusive edge position detection sensor nor a meandering amount detection apparatus even in usage environments where any meandering amount is not provided by a host computer. <P>SOLUTION: In the electromagnetic vibration suppression device 1, a plurality of electromagnet pairs 2 are arranged in the width direction of a steel sheet S, and the vibration of the steel sheet S traveling between the electromagnets 2A, 2B of each electromagnet pair 2 is suppressed by a control unit 4. The control unit 4 includes: a pseudo displacement calculating means 41 for calculating the pseudo displacement of the steel sheet S on the basis of switching between the ON-OFF states of a sensor 3 attached to the electromagnet pairs 2; a steel sheet correction target position calculating means 42 for calculating the correction target position of the steel sheet S in each electromagnet pair 2 on the basis of the pseudo displacement; and a current amount control means 43 for individually controlling the amount of current that flows to the electromagnets 2A, 2B so that the position of the steel sheet S in each electromagnet pair 2 becomes the correction target position. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
