<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cord container configured so that an operator can pull out a cord by a small operation force, and the cord can be automatically contained after use. <P>SOLUTION: The cord container 10 includes: the cord 40; a drum 18 on which the cord is wound; operational state detecting means 30 for detecting the operational state of the cord when pulling out the cord wound on the drum therefrom; a first motor 38 for rotationally driving the drum; a motor control unit for driving the first motor 38 in the cord winding direction to rotate the drum in the cord winding direction.
