<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost differential device with a simple configuration and a good response LSD interlocked with a power system. <P>SOLUTION: A pinion gear 17 is rotatably supported in the differential case 3. A pair of side gears 23, 25 are relatively rotatably supported in the differential case 3. Spherical side gear convex back portions 23a, 25a are formed on the side gears 23, 25. Spherical concave side gear supporting surface portions 13, 15 are formed on an inner surface of the differential case 3. A gap between the spherical side gear convex back portions 23a, 25a and the spherical concave side gear supporting surface portions 13, 15 is used as a spherical adjustment gap part 61 where spherical side washers 47C (49C) with different friction radius and different contact angles is selected to be inserted.
