<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication method with which user convenience can be prevented from being reduced, while improving security. <P>SOLUTION: According to one embodiment, in an authentication method for performing authentication processing to a NAS 100 for a user who utilizes the NAS 100 via a PC 300, a mobile phone terminal 200 of the user sets up a call with the NAS 100 which is capable of distributing a password to be used for authentication processing, and the NAS 100 converts the password into synthetic signal tones according to a predetermined conversion system and transmits the synthetic signal tones to the mobile phone terminal 200. The mobile phone terminal 200 outputs the synthetic signal tones which have been received from the NAS 100, from a speaker 206 and the PC 300 collects the synthetic signal tones outputted from the mobile phone terminal 200 by means of a microphone 308. The PC 300 then converts the synthetic signal tone collected by the microphone 308 according to a predetermined conversion system to restore the password and the PC 300 uses the restored password for authentication processing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
