PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a survey machine capable of speedily performing setting operation.

SOLUTION: A survey machine 2 according to the present invention includes a guide light irradiation optical system 11 which emits sectorial guide light PB2 extending long in a vertical direction as guide light, a lens barrel part including a scanning optical system 10 searching for a corner cube 30A fitted to a pole 30B for survey and a distance measuring optical system 9 measuring a distance to the corner cube 30A, and a driving part which rotates the lens barrel part horizontally around a vertical axis and also around a horizontal axis. The guide light irradiation optical system 11 is rotated horizontally around the vertical axis together with the lens barrel part in one body.
