<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter assembly which is excellent in advancing a catheter, can easily advance the catheter to a predetermined position in a blood vessel after blood is confirmed to flow into the catheter, and further can solve a problem on usability. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter assembly 1 includes: a catheter 2; a catheter hub 3 fixed to the base end side of the catheter 2; a needle 4 to be inserted into the catheter, a needle housing 5 fixed to the base end side of the needle 4; and a needle shielding part 11 located within the needle housing and storing the distal end or the whole of the needle 4 to be detachably connected with the base end of the catheter hub 3, wherein the catheter hub 3 has a tab 34 projecting from the outerperipheral surface of the catheter hub. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
