<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an operation input device that prevents undesired rotational movement during tilting and allows stable and reliable operation during the tilting. <P>SOLUTION: In an operation input device 1, ribs are formed in a flange of a rotation shaft 3 that is tilted together with a nob 2, and grooves are formed in an upper housing 13. When a user performs a tilting operation on the operation input device 1, the ribs are fitted into the grooves.
