摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ferrite particle that enables sufficient image density even if an image forming speed is increased when used as a carrier of an electrophotographic image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: The ferrite particle is mainly composed of a material represented by a composition formula M<SB POS="POST">X</SB>Fe<SB POS="POST">3-X</SB>O<SB POS="POST">4</SB>(M is at least one of Mg and Mn, and 0&le;X&le;1), and contains at least one of Sr element and Ca element in the range of 0.1 to 2.5 weight percent in total. When the ferrite particle is used as a carrier, the fluidity is preferably 40 seconds or higher after magnetized under a magnetic field of 1000/(4&pi;)kA/m (1000 Oersted) for higher image density.
