<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid acid catalyst which exerts a highly active reaction site by surface property in which high reaction specific surface area, hydrophilic property, and hydrophobic property are combined, suppresses the effect of water deteriorating reactivity of the catalyst, improves and maintains inversion rate, and reduces energy consumption in refining in a post-treating process, in a reaction of an organic compound in which an acid acts as a catalyst and water is generated, and to provide a reactor using the solid acid catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: The solid acid catalyst which is like nonwoven fabric includes fibers made by electrospinning mixed matter of a charged polymer containing a sulfonic acid group and an uncharged polymer.
